Gustav Christ
Gustav Christ (* 1845 ; † August 22, 1918 in Heidelberg ) was a Baden lawyer and local historian .
Gustav Christ was the son of the lawyer Anton Christ (1800–1880) and grew up with his brother Karl Christ (1841–1927) in Frankfurt and Heidelberg. He studied law at the University of Heidelberg and then entered the Baden civil service. He became district judge and district court president in Mannheim . From 1866 he was a member of the Mannheim Antiquities Association , from 1879 on the board and from 1880 to 1888 chairman of the association. He was active in the field of local history.
