Gustav Hanig (born November 5, 1945 in Lanškroun , Czechoslovakia ) is a former German ice hockey player who also worked as a coach .
He played from 1963 to 1975 for EV Füssen , with whom he was German champion several times . He then moved behind the gang and was coach of EC Peiting from 1976 to December 1977 . After resuming his playing career, he played for VfL Waldkraiburg and TSV Lechbruck , before he first worked as a coach at SV Hohenfurch in 1983/84 . Shortly after the start of the season, he first switched to EC Peiting as a player and took over the coaching position there during the season.
Internationally, he participated with the German national team in the ice hockey world championships in 1966 (B-WM), 1967 , 1969 (B-WM), 1971 and 1972 as well as in the 1968 Winter Olympics.
Since he was part of the EV Füssen team that won the German ice hockey championship for the tenth time in 1963, he and all team members were awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf by Federal President Heinrich Lübke on March 10, 1963 .
He is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame Germany .
