Gustav Heidenreich
Gustav Heidenreich (born February 27, 1819 in Berlin ; † November 9, 1855 there ) was a German genre and history painter .
Life
Gustav Heidenreich was born in Berlin on February 27, 1819. He received his training in Breslau from a painter named König and then in Berlin from Wilhelm Wach . After his apprenticeship, he took part in the execution of the frescoes based on the designs by Karl Friedrich Schinkel in the vestibule of the Altes Museum in Berlin. Around 1850 he took part in the cycle of the Nordic world of the gods in the Patriotic Hall of Friedrich August Stüler's Neues Museum with three pictures . A breast ailment prompted him to travel to Italy in 1853 . He returned to Berlin in the fall of 1854, where he died on November 9, 1855 at the age of 36.
