Gustav Laager

Gustav Laager (born October 1, 1867 in St. Gallen ; † July 20, 1931 in Bischofszell ) was a Swiss entrepreneur .

Life

Gustav Laager was born on October 1st, 1867 as the son of the businessman Gustav Georg Laager in St. Gallen. Laager completed an apprenticeship as a businessman. In 1897 he joined the management of the jacquard weaving mill and wood pulp factory in Bischofszell. In addition, Laager founded a carton factory in 1901. From 1907 to 1912 he was director of the jacquard weaving mill, wood fabric and cardboard factory in Bischofszell. From 1912 until his death in 1931 Laager stood as sole owner and head of his company, which is now called

Gustav Laager presented and existed until 1984. In addition, from 1921 to 1931, Laager was a board member of the Association of Swiss Paper and Paper Stock Manufacturers. In the Swiss Army he took the rank of major of the cavalry.

Gustav Laager, who married Anna Hedwig, the daughter of the notary Heinrich Müller, in 1899 , died on July 20, 1931 at the age of 63 in Bischofszell. His company was continued by his son Victor .
