Victor Laager

Victor Laager (born July 4, 1900 in Bischofszell , † May 18, 1985 in St. Gallen ) was a Swiss entrepreneur .

Life

Victor Laager was born on July 4th 1900 as the son of the entrepreneur Gustav Laager in Bischofszell. Bach after attending the canton school in St. Gallen, he took a mechanical engineering degree in Zurich and Darmstadt . From 1926 to 1931 Laager was employed as an assistant in his father's paper mill in Bischofszell. After his death, Laager was the owner of the Victor Laager carton and paper factory in Bischofszell until 1972. In addition, Laager was a board member of the Association of Swiss Paper and Paper Stock Manufacturers, which he then chaired until 1964. In addition, Laager Bischofszell bequeathed numerous donations and, as a patriarchal entrepreneur, shaped the corporate culture until his death. In the Swiss Army he assumed the rank of colonel and was a member of the General Staff from 1933 to 1943 .

Victor Laager, who was married twice, died at the age of 84.
