Gustav Otto Kanter

Gustav Otto Kanter (born January 9, 1927 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ; † August 29, 2018 in Cologne ) was a German educator .

Life

After graduation in 1966 Dr. rer. nat. in Marburg , in 1967, he accepted a professorship for psychology with a focus on educational psychology at the Lüneburg University of Education . In 1970 he changed to a chair for the education of the learning disabled and the mentally handicapped at the Pedagogical University of Rhineland , department for curative education in Cologne, later at the University of Cologne .

Kanter died in 2018 at the age of 91 and was buried in Cologne's southern cemetery.
