Gustav Reinhold von Klot (born October 18, 1780 in Radok or Wyschni Wolotschok ( Tver Governorate ); † October 18, 1855 in Riga ) was a Baltic German theologian .

Gustav Reinhold von Klot's father was Burchard Ernst von Klot ad H. Heydenfeldt and Weidenhof ( Livonia ), a Russian major . The mother Ebba, b. Klot ad H. Puickeln (Livl.). On May 25, 1806 he married Friederike von Vegesack ad H. Roperbeck (Livl.).

Life

Gustav Reinhold von Klot studied theology at the University of Dorpat from 1802 to 1805 . From 1805 to 1834 he was pastor in Nitau ( Livonia ) and from 1830 to 1834 assistant to the Livonian consistory. From 1834 to 1855 he was General Superintendent of Livonia and Vice-President of the Consistory.

He was an opponent of the Moravian Brethren .
