Gustav Storm

Gustav Storm (born June 18, 1845 in Rendalen , Norway , † February 23, 1903 in Bygdøy ) was a Norwegian historian , writer and professor at the University of Oslo .

Life

Storm was born as the son of Ole John Storm and Hanna Jørgine Mathilde Breda in Rendalen and as the brother of Johan Storm . The family then moved to Lardal because Storm's father was governor there. When Storm was five years old, his father died and the family moved to Oslo .

In 1862 he finished his school and then studied philology at the University of Oslo. He closed this in 1868 with the name “Cand. philol ”. Then he worked for a few years as a teacher in the fields of philology and history.
