Gustav Wölfel

Gustav Wölfel (born November 13, 1899 in Untermerzbach ; † May 15, 1980 ibid) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Wölfel attended elementary and advanced training school and worked in his parents' farm from a young age. After being a soldier in World War I , he took over his parents' farm and started a timber trading business. He was a non-commissioned officer in World War II , a member of the church administration and worked in various associations.

Wölfel was a member of the BVP at the time of the Weimar Republic . He was expelled from the local council in 1933 for fighting against National Socialism . In 1945 he was a founding member of the CSU and from 1948 its district association chairman in the district of Ebern . In 1949 he became a member of the district and local council as well as a board member of Volksbank Untermerzbach. On June 28, 1949, he replaced the late Eustach Bühner in the Bavarian state parliament , after which he was directly elected to the constituency of Ebern , Hofheim , Königshofen im Grabfeld , Mellrichstadt and was a member of the Bavarian state parliament until 1970.
