Gustav von Amstetter

Gustav Ludwig Heinrich von Amstetter ( Baron von Zwerbach and Grabeneck ) (born February 8, 1800 in Breslau ; † May 26, 1875 there ) was a German lawyer and member of the Frankfurt National Assembly from 1848.

Life

Von Amstetter was born in Wroclaw in 1800 as the son of a Prussian major and studied law in Wroclaw, Heidelberg and Berlin after attending grammar school . In 1819 he became a member of the Arminia Breslau fraternity . In 1830, a case of political oppositional behavior was carried out against him, with the result that he lost his title of nobility , which he was not awarded again until 1841. From 1831 to 1832 he was senior judge assessor , then from 1832 to 1835 judicial advisor , from 1836 to 1839 city judge and from 1841 to 1849 senior judge in Breslau. From 1843 he was also legal advisor to the Royal Credit Institute in Wroclaw. From 1848 to 1849 he was a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly for the constituency of the Province of Silesia (Breslau 21). There he was non-attached and a member of the Hereditary Imperial . From 1851 to 1875 he was a judge of appeal in Breslau. He was appointed to the Privy Councilor of Justice in 1862 .
