Gustav von Festenberg-Pakisch (pseudonym Gustav von Festenberg) (born March 13, 1892 in Wiener Neustadt , Lower Austria ; † August 3, 1968 in Vienna ) was an Austrian novelist, essayist and poet.

Life

Festenberg-Pakisch comes from a noble Silesian family. He studied law in Vienna. In 1916 he entered the civil service with the Upper Austrian provincial government. From 1939 to 1941 he worked in the Federal Chancellery and in the Ministry of Education. He then moved to Munich and was a senior councilor in the regional council of Upper Bavaria. In 1941 he retired and became a writer.
