Gustavo Romero Kolbeck

Gustavo Adolfo Romero Kolbeck (born July 3, 1923 in Mexico City , † April 20, 2008 ) was a Mexican economist and ambassador .

Life

He graduated from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México with a degree in economics in 1946 . In 1966 he founded a publishing house for economics with Harvey Popell and John Cristman, from 1969 they published the magazine Revista Expansión .

Kolbeck was then Mexican Ambassador to Tokyo from February 19, 1971 to April 1, 1974, and from March 1, 1971 to April 1, 1974, he was also accredited to the government of South Korea. In 1974 he was the first president of the Mexican state development bank Nacional Financiera . From 1975 to 1977 he was General Manager of the Banco de México . In 1982 he worked as a diplomatic ambassador in Moscow. Kolbeck taught economics at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México .
