The football department of TV Gut-Heil split off as VfR Neumünster as part of the clean divorce in 1923 . Soccer

Gut-Heil's soccer team was accepted into the newly created Gauliga Schleswig-Holstein in 1942, where it came last in the same year. After the Second World War, the qualification for the single-track state league Schleswig-Holstein was missed by one point in 1948 . In 1949 the club reached the Schleswig-Holstein State League. In the 1950/51 season Gut-Heil missed relegation in a relegation round, which was set because of the increase in the national league from twelve to 16 teams. In 1953 the ascent succeeded. In the 1955/56 season, sixth place was the best placement in the club's history. Two years later, it was relegated again, before the third ascent in 1960. After relegation in 1965, Gut-Heil missed the newly created association league in 1968 . This was achieved three years later. In the early 1980s Gut-Heil was third twice in a row before the team became runner-up in 1982 behind Wiker SV . Two more third places followed, before relegation followed in 1992, in 1993 the direct rise was achieved, but in 1994 the descent followed again. In 1999 Gut-Heil returned to the district league after the district class was dissolved. After a brief return to the district league, the league team from SC Gut Heil plays in the Neumünster district league.
