The Good Etgendorf is a Grade II listed secular building southwest of Lipp , a district of Bedburg in the Rhein-Erft ( Nordrhein-Westfalen ).

History and architecture

Between Bedburg and Kirchtroisdorf lies the water-protected, closed square complex on open fields. The manor house is early baroque , the farm buildings have been renewed. The estate has been owned by the Premonstratensian Monastery of Reichenstein near Kalterherberg since 1216 . Since the end of the 15th century it has been given a long lease ; from 1673 to 1862 it was owned by the Simonius family called Ritz. The mansion is a stately brick building with two floors; it is covered with a high hipped roof. The building with cross- frame windows in a trachyte frame was built in 1605 for the councilor Peter Simonius from Jülich . To the west is a two-storey gate building under a low hipped roof. The passage is arched, a Ritz / Dürffenthal alliance coat of arms was attached. A three-storey rectangular tower with a multiple retracted tail hood protrudes from the southeast corner; the lantern is closed.
