Kirchtroisdorf is a district of Bedburg in the Rhein-Erft-Kreis , North Rhine-Westphalia . Local mayor for Kirchtroisdorf and Kleintroisdorf is Peter Verse ( FWG ) (as of July 2014) .

location

Kirchtroisdorf is located northwest of Bedburg. In the village the country road 277 and the district road 37 cross. North-east of the village is the federal highway 61 . Kirchtroisdorf was on the Bedburg – Ameln railway line .

history

Kirchtroisdorf and Kleintroisdorf were already settled in the early Middle Ages , as archaeological finds show. It was first mentioned in a document in 1131. The village used to be the seat of the von Troisdorf knight family. A chapel was connected to the court festivals , which is called the parish church around 1300.

Only at the beginning of the 14th century are the two places designated separately.

The Catholic parish church of St. Matthias in Kirchtroisdorf is a simple brick hall . The parish belongs to the Archdiocese of Cologne .

education

There were two kindergartens in Kirchtroisdorf . In the summer of 2008 the kindergarten was closed under the sponsorship of the Catholic parish, so that at the moment only the Montessori kindergarten run by the Parents' Initiative Springmäuse e. V. offers childcare.
