Meierhof Büttel

Julianka manor and manor house

After Princess Juliane von Hessen , who was abbess of the monastery from 1810 to 1860, the estate was named "Julianca". The dilapidated mansion was demolished and replaced by a new building in 1802. It was owned by the Blomes for over a hundred years before they lost their importance.

After the Blomes had already sold Heiligenstedten Castle to the Prussian province of Schleswig-Holstein in 1926, the Julianka estate was also sold in 1934. The buyers were the Counts of Einsiedel . The mansion subsequently served as a home for young girls, was then used as a factory and, after a renovation, as a hotel-restaurant. A fire in 1983 destroyed the building.
