Guy II. De Prangins († June 12, 1394 ) was Bishop of Lausanne from 1375 to 1394 and probably came from the noble family de Prangins .
Life
Guy de Prangins was a doctor of both rights. In 1361 he was provost of Lausanne and counselor to Count Amadeus VI. of Savoy , who in 1373 together with Heinrich von Romainmôtier to Albrecht III. and Leopold III. sent by Austria to negotiate an alliance. In 1374 he was canon and cantor of Lyon . On March 19, 1375 he was by Pope Gregory XI. appointed Bishop of Lausanne. After the beginning of the great schism , he was on the side of the Avignon obedience . Johann Münch von Landskron , who was appointed Bishop of Lausanne by the Roman Pope in 1389/90 , was unable to assert himself in the diocese; only Bern stood on the side of Rome from 1392.
