Adalbert von Pechmann

Adalbert Heinrich Alois Wendelin Freiherr von Pechmann (born October 20, 1777 in Regen , † March 9, 1860 in Passau ) was Passau's auxiliary bishop , cathedral dean and vicar general .

Life

The son of the Bavarian treasurer and district judge Heinrich von Pechmann (1736–1800) and his wife Maria Ludovica, née Freiin von Asch (1748–1820) studied in Regensburg and was ordained a priest on March 27, 1801 . Then he was u. a. Pastor in Loiching , Dingolfing-Landau district .

1822 Prince-Bishop Leopold Leonhard von Thun und Hohenstein for vicar general appointed, he was born on May 24, 1824 auxiliary bishop and titular bishop of Canopus and July 25 in 1824 by the Archbishop of Munich and Freising Lothar Anselm von Gebsattel ordained .

After the death of Prince-Bishop Leopold Reichsgraf von Thun in 1826 and the death of his successor Karl Joseph Freiherr von Riccabona in 1839 he was chapter administrator of the diocese, and in 1831 he became dean of the cathedral.
