Johann Münch von Landskron
Johann Münch von Landskron († April 26, 1410 ) was Bishop of Lausanne from 1389/90 .
Life
Johann was the son of the bailiff of Basel and mayor of Solothurn Burkhart Münch von Landskron and Margarita von Grünenberg . The Basel bishop Konrad Münch von Landskron was his brother. Johann was provost of Saint-Ursanne from 1383 to 1400 . He was appointed bishop of Lausanne by the Roman pope in 1389/90, but could not prevail against the bishops of the Avignonesian obedience Guy de Prangins and Guillaume de Menthonay . Only Bern stood on Rome's side from 1392 onwards.
