Guylaine Dumont (born September 10, 1967 in Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly , Québec ) is a former Canadian volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career hall

Guylaine Dumont played in the Canadian national team from 1985 to 1991 and in the professional leagues of Italy and Japan between 1990 and 1997.

Career Beach

Guylaine Dumont played internationally with various partners in the late 1990s, but never got past eighth place in a tournament.

Guylaine Dumont played more successfully with Annie Martin since 2002 . In 2003 the Canadians finished fifth at the Lianyungang Open. At the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro , they won their preliminary group and the first knockout game against their compatriots Boileau / Morin before they were defeated by the Americans McPeak / Youngs in the second round . In the 2004 Olympic tournament they finished second behind McPeak / Young's group and reached the quarter-finals with a victory against the Cubans Larrea Peraza / Fernandez Grasset , in which they had to admit defeat to the later gold medal winners Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor from the USA. After the tournament, they parted ways.

At the side of Caroline Fiset , Guylaine Dumont ended her career in 2005.
