The Gyagar is a 6400 m high mountain in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh in the Western Himalayas .
The mountain is to the east of Spiti in the Lahaul and Spiti district . It is located in a mountain range that is surrounded in the south by the Lingti , a left tributary of the Spiti , and in the north by its tributary Chaksachan Lungpa .
Gyagar was first climbed on July 1st, 1989 by an Indian expedition (Dhiren Pania, Ramkrishna Rao, Dolphy D'Mello, Vasant Dalvi, Shridhar Vaishampayam, Tikamram Thakur and Jagdish Thakur) over the south ridge.
