The Gyirmót SE is a Hungarian football club . Gyirmót is a suburb, about 9 kilometers southwest of downtown Győr . The association was founded in 1993.
In the 2008/09 season, the first place in the group west of the second Hungarian league, the Nemzeti Bajnokság II , was achieved. The promotion to the Nemzeti Bajnokság I took place in the 2016/17 season .
The second division team of Gyirmót SE has a number of players in the squad who have already played for the "big" Győri ETO FC in the country's first division, for example Attila Baumgartner , Levente Molnár , Márton Oross , László Nagy or Gábor Varga . The club is coached by Péter Hannich , a former national player and World Cup participant from 1986.
