Oluf Gyrd Löfqvist or Gyrd Løfqvist (born June 2, 1921 in Copenhagen ; † May 1, 2012 there ) was a Danish actor .
biography
Löfqvist came from a Norwegian-Swedish family who lived in Denmark . His mother was Norwegian , which gave him the Norwegian first name Oluf Gyrd, and his father gave him the Swedish last name Löfquist.
From 1942 to 1944 he trained as an actor at the Det Kongelige Teaters elevskole (drama school of the royal theater) in Copenhagen. He made his acting debut in 1944 at the Det Kongelige Teater . He then worked at Det Ny Teater from 1944 to 1946 . He then had various engagements at the Frederiksberg Teater , Allé-Scenen , Aarhus Teater , Svalehen and the Gladsaxe Teater .
In the 1970s and 1980s he was mainly active at Folketeatret , where he appeared in many roles in a number of different performances. In the film he had already in 1945 En ny dag gryer his first appearance and worked since then in many Danish films, and later in several television series with.
After his retirement, he was still active as an actor in both theater and film until 2006.
