Hård af Segerstad is the name of the fourth oldest living noble family in Sweden .

history

The Hård come from the Swedish province of Småland , where they have been documented since the 15th century. The secured trunk row begins with Olof Pedersson († 1501) on Böjeryd in the parish of Gryteryds. Under his sons, the squires Peder and Bengt , the family is divided into two main lines. In 1625, the family was registered in the knight's house (No. 17). To distinguish it from the Hård af Torestorp , which form a side line of the Hård (No. 60), the main line was called Hård af Segerstad .

The royal Swedish major general of the cavalry and later general of the cavalry and councilor Carl Gustaf Hård (* 1674, † 1774) was in 1710 by King Charles XII. raised to the baron status and introduced to the knight's house in 1719 (No. 121). In 1731 he received a diploma from King Frederick I in Stockholm (No. 78).

The sex also spread to Finland and the United States .

Prussian line

The son of the above Count Hård , Count Johan Ludvig Hård af Segerstad (* 1719; † 1798), served under the Germanized name Johann Ludwig von Hordt , after he had served in the Swedish and Dutch military, in 1756 in the Prussian army under Frederick Großer and was appointed lieutenant general governor of the Spandau Citadel in 1776 . He married Ulrika Juliana Henriette von Wachtmeister (* 1722; † 1776) in 1748 , and a second time in 1781 with Countess Sophia Dorothea von Podewils (* 1734; † 1802). From his first marriage he had three daughters and two sons. Count Karl Ludwig von Hordt (* 1749) was a royal Prussian second lieutenant in Infantry Regiment No. 24 , his younger brother Count Adolf Friedrich von Hordt (* 1753; † 1805) decided as a royal Prussian major in the fusilier battalion v. Stutterheim No. 21 in the 2nd East Prussian Fusilier Brigade the Prussian line again.
