Mike Binder

Michael "Mike" Binder (born June 2, 1958 in Detroit , Michigan ) is an American screenwriter , film producer , film director and actor .

biography

Michael Binder grew up in the affluent suburb of Birmingham near Detroit . He graduated from Birmingham Seaholm High School in 1976 . His younger brother is the film producer Jack Binder . He processed the vacation he spent in his youth at Camp Tamakwa in the 1993 film Indian Summer - A Wild Week Among Friends , which was his second feature film after Crossing the Bridge .

Binder started out as a stand-up comedian , including on Saturday Night Live , but was fired there. Then he remembered his role models Woody Allen , Mel Brooks and Albert Brooks and began to be interested in screenwriting.
