The Héðinsfjörður is a fjord in the north of Iceland .

It is located on the Tröllaskagi peninsula between the Siglufjörður and Ólafsfjörður fjords . The fjord is about 2 km wide and 6 km into the country. In the fjord is the Héðinsfjarðarvatn, a good fishing lake. On May 29, 1947, a plane crashed the Flugfélags Íslands on Hestfjall in Héðinsfjörður. The 21 passengers and the four crew members died.

There used to be only a few farms in the fjord. It is now uninhabited. The valley behind the fjord crosses the asphalt Siglufjarðarvegur S76 between the two parts of the Héðinsfjarðargöng for about 600 m . The tunnels have been built since 2006 and opened on October 2, 2010. They form a direct road connection between the towns of Siglufjörður and Ólafsfjörður .
