Héctor Loureiro , full name Héctor Ramón Loureiro Ferraro , (born November 22, 1952 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

The 1.80 meter tall, "Pocho" called defensive player Loureiro, whose father had already played as a midfielder for Nacional Montevideo , was in 1971 in the ranks of the Montevidean club Sud América . For a total of a decade, including from 1973 to 1978 and again in 1985, he played for Sociedad Deportiva Aucas in Ecuador . In 1974 he rose with the team trained by Ernesto Guerra as champions of Serie B in the top division. In 1975 he reached with his team alongside players such as the Brazilian Ubiracy Da Silva , Argentina's Héctor Siles and Ecuadorians Rómulo Dudar Mina , Alberto Carrera and goalkeeper Walter Pinillos third place in the season final standings of Serie A . Overall, he stayed with his club from 1975 to 1977 in the top Ecuadorian league. He was also in Ecuador in 1980 at the side of players like Rómulo Dúdar Mina , Silvano Stacio , Enrique Garrido and Marco Constant under contract for a season with Macará . He also played for another year for Universidad Católica , spending twelve years in Ecuadorian football throughout his career. In 1985 he ended his professional career.

National team

Héctor Loureiro was also a member of the Uruguayan junior national team , which took part in the 1971 South American Junior Championship in Paraguay and took second place. During the tournament he was used by coach Rodolfo Zamora four times (no goal).

Private

He has three children with his wife Rosa Olivera. After the career, he settled in Ambato and opened a pizzeria. In 2006 he had lived in Ecuador for 32 years and at that time had held Ecuadorian citizenship for 23 years. His son Esteban is also a soccer player and played for Macará in 2006.
