Hector Santoyo

Héctor Manuel Santoyo Aguilar , nickname Cuirio , (born January 25, 1954 in Mexico ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of defender .

career

Santoyo was under contract with Club León between 1972 and 1975 and won the Supercup final against the champions Cruz Azul in September 1972 after the club won the Cup in the 1971/72 season . He was also runner-up in the Mexican league with the Esmeraldas in the 1972/73 and 1974/75 seasons .

In 1975 he moved to Club Universidad de Guadalajara , where he was under contract until 1980 and with whom he was runner-up in the Mexican league two more times in the 1975/76 and 1976/77 seasons.

On August 1, 1975 Santoyo made his debut for the Mexican national team in a friendly against the GDR (2: 3) and then came back for "El Tri" on January 6, 1976 in a friendly against Hungary (4: 1) Commitment.
