Hélène Christine Rigoine de Fougerolles (born February 25, 1973 in Vannes ) is a French actress .
Life
Hélène Christine Rigoine de Fougerolles was born to Alain Rigoine de Fougerolles and Anne Saumay de Laval. She has a sister and two half-siblings. Originally she wanted to be a beautician, but at the age of 15 she decided to move to Paris to become an actress. After studying at the renowned Actors Studio in New York City , she made her debut in the 1993 feature film Le mari de Léon, directed by Jean-Pierre Mocky , alongside Jean-Pierre Mocky and Serge Riaboukine . For their portrayals in Que la lumière soit! and Va Savoir was respectively for the French film award César as Best Young Actress nomination.
Fougerolles was in a relationship with Antoine Arnault , the son of the French entrepreneur Bernard Arnault , from 2004 to 2011 . From 1997 to 2004 she was married to the producer Éric Hubert , with whom she has a daughter (* 2003).

Hélène de Fougerolles actively supports the French animal welfare organization L214 . She acted as a spokesperson in a video published by the organization in October 2015 about abuses in the Alès slaughterhouse . On the occasion of the opening of Paris Fashion Week in February 2018, Fougerolles and other celebrities spoke out against wearing fur in a short video clip .
