Hélder Lopes (trade unionist)
Hélder Lopes (* 1975 ; † November 9, 2017 in Dili , East Timor ), fighting name Musso Sakala , was an East Timorese politician and trade unionist.
Career
Lopes was president of Sindicato dos Trabalhadores e Camponeses Socialistas de Timor STCST ( Timor Labor and Social Workers Union) . He was also one of the deputy chairmen of the Marxist-Leninist Partido Socialista de Timor PST. In the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2017 , Lopes took 14th place on the PST list. The party clearly failed because of the four percent hurdle.
Lopes died of a heart attack on November 9, 2017 .
