Hotel de Florainville in Bar-le-Duc

The Hôtel de Florainville in Bar-le-Duc , a French town in the Meuse department in Lorraine , was built in the 16th century. The Hôtel particulier at 21 Place Saint-Pierre was added to the list of architectural monuments in France in 1988 as Monument historique .

The two-storey city palace with inner courtyard and richly decorated facade in the Renaissance style was built for the René de Florainville family, who were related to the Duke of Bar . In 1752 the building was bought by the city and converted into the Hôtel de ville . The Palais de Justice has been housed in the building since 1949 .

The fireplace in the great courtroom and the stained glass windows in the stairwell from the workshop of Laurent-Charles Maréchal (1801–1887) are on the list of monuments.
