Höfferhof is located in the north of Neunkirchen above the Wendbachtal . Other neighboring towns are Niederwennerscheid with Herrenwiesermühle in the northwest and Birkenfeld in the northeast.

Until 1969 the village belonged to the municipality of Neunkirchen .
In 1830 Höfferhof had 70 residents. In 1845 the hamlet had 90 Catholic residents in 20 houses. In 1888 there were 86 residents in 18 houses.
In 1901 there were 78 inhabitants.
