Höhrath is a district of Solingen . It is located south of Solingen-Burg and west of Wermelskirchen - Unterwinkelhausen in North Rhine-Westphalia .

history

It was first mentioned in 1217. Count Adolf III von Berg (1308–48) confirmed his father's donation to the Johanniter in Höhrath ( Hurterodhe ) on the occasion of the start of the crusade to the Holy Land. Höhrath was a charity, d. The johanniter
