The Unterwinkelhausen farm

Unterwinkelhausen (in some sources also called Niederwinkelhausen ) is a district in Wermelskirchen ( Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis , North Rhine-Westphalia ).

location

The place is about two kilometers northeast of the Sengbach dam and four kilometers southwest of Wermelskirchen. A motorway access to the A1 is one kilometer east of the Wermelskirchen district of Haid.

history

The living space was first mentioned in 1265. Further mentions can be found in 1402, when Count Wilhelm von Berg and his son are reconciled, whereby the father receives the castle zu Burg and the Hof zu Wynckelhuysen with syme . In the centuries that followed, tenants and leases were repeatedly put on record. For example in 1711, when the court chamber councilors Johan Keßeren and Johan Kyllmann as well as waiter Gumpertz had the pastors and preachers in the surrounding churches and the two servants proclaim " Whoever has lust and love should come to the castle." The farm was exhibited for lease for 75 thalers and 31/2 Burger Malter oats and Hans Hindrich Marcus was sold for 110 thalers.

Johann Schöpfer is tenant in 1795. He complains about the billeting of the Bergische troops and the heavy freight services for the French army. In 1810, the Niederwinkelhauser Hof and the Angerscheider Höfchen near the castle were leased to Wilhelm Müller for an annual payment of 162 thalers to the Rentei Solingen. The yard was 125 acres in size .

Sale and division

In 1820 the domain administration was sold to Salomon Oppenheim, Cologne, and landowner Engelbert Nickel from Benrath . The property was divided up. The 1st + 2nd department with the parent company was sold to the lessee Wilhelm Müller for 1980 thalers . In the original cadastre from 1828 to 1830 there are four owners of the original property. In 1836 the place name appears in the place name directory of Düsseldorf.
