Finkenholler mill

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Finkenholler mill was on the road from Hilfringhausen to Sonne , southeast of Hinterhufe , west of Assmannskotten , north of Wöllersberg am Eifgenbach . The upper moat and the building have been preserved.

On March 18, 1844, Peter Johann Ludwig from Neuemühle complained to the administration of Wermelskirchen about the planned permit to set up a new mill in Finkenholl. The objection was unsuccessful, however, so on August 20, 1844, Johann Wilhelm Kirchlöh was granted the concession to build a paint, fruit, oil and bone pounding mill by the Düsseldorf government.

After the Kirchlöh and Lambach families, the Christ mill was bought. Richertzhage 1895 for 24,000 marks. It is not known when this mill went out of operation.
