history

The first mention of the living space can be found in 1487 in the application of the Untersassen of the Duchy of Berg . There, after Kenkhausen and before Lüffringhausen in the Oberhonschaft Beltgen Naber is mentioned. The word is a proper name and has been worn down for later belten .

Another mention can be found in 1769. Arnold Assmann owned an estate in Elbringhausen, which later belonged to the Günther couple. The land reached up to the Belten on the country road and the brake house .

In 1878 Julius Leymann's widow, Helene Faßbender, sold a house in hallway 4, parcel 4/373 to Wilhelm Lindscheid, landlord am Belten, for 4875 marks .

The name Belten was replaced in 1893 by the current street name Neuenhöhe .
