Pilghauser Mill
The Pilghauser Mühle was a mill in the Oberpilghausen area - now the area of Dhünn in Wermelskirchen . It was located on the Kleine Dhünn river and had a separate mill ditch and pond for regulating the water level. The mill went down in the Dhünntalsperre .
history
The mill, which was originally operated as a hammer mill, was later converted into a grinding mill. It was first mentioned in 1767. Peter Caterndahl has a license from March 24, 1767 to pay a permanent fee on his hammer on the Dhünn, which comes from the former Bornefeld winery, and annually two thalers 40 stüber and eight hellers of knowledge . This Peter Catherendal is mentioned as early as 1757 when he had to pay two thaler 29 Stüber and four 4 Heller for the church levy Dhünn.
The division of the estate of Johann Peter Katerndahl from 1781 has been preserved with a measuring slip. Theodor Goldenberg inherits, who inherits to daughter Anna Elisabeth Goldenberg, wife Johann Wilhelm Preyer.
According to the Wermelskirchen City Archives, the license was granted before 1784.
In 1800 Peter Cardendahl owns Article 42 and pays 36 Stüber and 10 Heller to the hundred sheet of the Niederhonschaft Wermelskirchen. In 1807 he paid two thalers and 24 stüber to the Burg winery. Peter Wilhelm Katerndahl wants to build a bone pound in 1824 and guarantees Arnold Goldenberg the water supply for his Reckhammer.
In 1812 Johann Peter Pohlhaus bought Johann Peter Pohlhaus for 10,000 francs from Johann Wilhelm Katerndahl, after his death an inventory was set up in 1820 and in 1822 the Pilghauser Hammer was auctioned off to his oath Johann Arnold Goldenberg from Halzenberg and then to Friedrich Reuch from Doktorsdhünn.
The Tillmanns brothers from Unterberg are said to have been owners since 1828 and lease the Goldenbergs Gut zu Pilghausen to Katerndahl in 1832.
In 1844 Peter Johann Humburg asked for permission to build a grinding mill on the site of the Pilghauser hammer. In 1880 the heirs sell Humburg to their brother-in-law Ernst Ludewig in front of notary Reichmann for 12,300 marks. The descendants of Ludewig owned the Pilghausermühle until it was demolished during the construction of the dam.
