Plettenburg is a former manor in Wermelskirchen - Dabringhausen in the Bergisches Land in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is located on the Linnefebach at Kreisstraße 11, west of Rölscheid , northeast of Ketzberg .

history

When the Plettenburg was built is unknown. According to the local history researcher Paul Haendeler, the former knight's seat with mill was built by Bertram von Plettenberg , bailiff of Bornefeld and Hückeswagen .

After Edmund Strutz and after him Manfred Rech, the Plettenburg was bought by Junker Adolf von Alberg in 1608. In 1630 von Alberg appears in the Dabringhausen church book as Herr von Klein Klev and Plettenburg. In 1665 Friedrich von Fix called Eller and Agatha von Katterbach were present at the election of the pastors in Dabringhausen. In 1666 a Herr von Eller, Lieutenant Colonel, is named as sick at the hereditary homage in Ostringhausen.

1670 Clara Catharina v. Gürtzgen zur Dhünnenburg is baptized Lutheran in Dabringhausen. She later marries Franz Heinrich v. Eller to Plettenburg.

1681 Concession of the mill in the estate of Maire Peter Clarenbach on July 28, 1817

"1689, on October 23rd, the colonel-lieutenant Freiherr v. Eller was allowed to build a grinding mill on his inheritance and the meadow next to the Plettenburg house and the water flowing through it, which flows into the water below it called the Lennepe (Linnefe). He and his heirs and descendants deliver a Malter Düsseldorfer Maß (water knowledge) to the local rentmaker every year, with the condition that Coen Schmits and heirs terminate this mill (meaning the Coenemühle) at Plettenburg, and that painter is to be paid until the concession is returned . If the von Eller or his tenants default, all goods could be confiscated. According to the Scheffen certificate, the mill was already in place on Martini 1684 and there is a painter on rye. "

around 1751 Franz Heinr. von Eller, born in 1672, is buried in the Catholic Church of Wermelskirchen

" " In ecclesia nostra prope januam sepultus est perillustris et generosus D. de Eller, Serenissimi nostri per multos annos lieutenant colonel, ut vocatur, bene meritus, qui ex Plettenburg hic translatus " "

(In our church near the door, the very respected and noble-born Herr von Eller, our most noble prince for many years, Lieutenant Colonel, as he is called, was buried with great merit, who was transferred here from Plettenburg)

Until the year 1771, on August 14th, merchant Pet. Melch. Clarenbach buys from Baron Franz Wer. v. Eller and his loved one continued Joh. Herm. v. Eller and his mother Johanna Clara Cath. born v. Driesch two morning meadows to Plettenburg in front of the court in Wermelskirchen.

In 1805, Wilhelm Arnold Luchtenberg appeared in the Plettenburg before the court in Wermelskirchen. He demolished the house in 1806 and built a new one in 1807.

The Luchtenberg family is the owner until 1834. They are sold to the Hindrichs brothers. In 1879 they were sold to Eduard Schüller for 5700 marks.

In 1890 the Hindrichs owned the property and lent 3,000 marks on the property.
