In 1825 Johann Hausmann, an oil miller from Jülichsdhünn , bought a meadow at Hutzhammerplatz to build a mill from Peter Hahn, from Wöllersberg. On January 29, 1825, he applied to build a grain and oil mill on the Eifgenbach below Emminghausen. Objections by the widow Molineus from Bergermühle and Carl Schmitz initially prevented approval. The license was only granted on July 21, 1826.

In 1843 Johann Hausmann sold the mill to Peter Johann Ludwig, Müller an der Kuhle, for 5507 thalers. In 1918 the mill belonged to the son-in-law Hugo Mebus and Berta, nee. Ludwigs. The two large ponds were to be set up as a ponds for excursion traffic around 1905. Today they are used for fish farming.

In 1951 the mill was stopped. The house was rededicated for gastronomy with a beer garden. The mill can still be seen.
