Holderlin ring

The Hölderlin-Ring is a culture prize that has been awarded by the Hölderlin-Nürtingen eV association since 2010 to people who have made a special contribution to the works and memory of the German poet Friedrich Hölderlin .

Selection criteria and award winners

The association honors people who create lasting works that revolve around the person of Friedrich Hölderlin.

The writer Peter Härtling received the honor for his novel Hölderlin , published in 1976 . The director Herrmann Zschoche was honored together with the writer Christa Kozik for the film Half of Life (1985), which portrays ten crucial years of the life of the poet and lyricist Friedrich Hölderlin. Navid Kermani was honored for two publications: the Frankfurt Poetics Lecture 2010 under the title “About chance. Jean Paul, Hölderlin and the novel that I write ”, and for his 2011 novel“ Your Name ”.
