Höyry-Kone was a Finnish experimental progressive rock band that was formed in 1991.
Band history
Jussi Kärkkäinen and Teemu Hänninen founded the band. When a stable line-up was achieved in 1995, they released their debut album with the Swedish record company Ad Perpetuam Memoriam , which fused various influences from rock , metal , jazz and folk . After that there were some line-up changes, but the second album, released in 1997, continued the AvantProg of the debut. In the years that followed, Höyry-Kone disbanded. Jarno Sarkula, Marko Manninen and Teemu Hänninen then played in the similarly experimental band Alamaailman Vasarat .
