The Høghamaren ( Norwegian for high rock ) is a rocky outcrop in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . In the Sverdrupfjella it rises 1.5 km southwest of the Hamartind .
The first aerial photographs were taken during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . Norwegian cartographers, who also named it descriptively, mapped it using measurements and aerial photographs of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952) and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
