The Hamartind (Norwegian for rock peak ) is a 2885 m high mountain in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . In Sverdrupfjella it rises on the eastern reaches of the Hamrane .
The first aerial photographs were taken during the German Antarctic Expedition (1938–1939). Norwegian cartographers, who named it based on the name of the Hamrane, mapped it using aerial photographs and surveys of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (NBSAE, 1949–1952) and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
