Corn, Be Vigilant (Original Title: Walky Talky Hawky , Alternative Title : Goshawk Looking For Chicken ) is an American animated short film by Robert McKimson from 1946.

action

Henery Hawk confesses to his father that he feels a strange need for something without knowing what. Poppa Hawk tells his offspring that the entire family are outsiders because they are goshawks who eat chickens. Little Henery goes looking for his first chicken.

Meanwhile, the chicken Foghorn Leghorn annoys the barnyard Dawg, who is only prevented from attacking by his chain. Henery meets the big chicken, announces that he is looking for a chicken as a goshawk, and Foghorn introduces himself to the tiny one as a horse. The Barnyard Dawg, Foghorn reveals, is a chicken, and so Henery attacks the sleeping dog. He follows Henery until he is stopped by his chain. Henery and Foghorn try several times together to "defeat" Barnyard Dog, but fail. After a while the dog announces to the astonished Henery that it is not a chicken but a dog - Foghorn, on the other hand, is a chicken. Dog and chicken now get into an argument that extends into a horse stable. The horse in turn puts both fighters in the air, which now attack the horse together. In the end, the confused Henery drags the chicken, dog and horse with him - after all, one of the three animals has to be a chicken.
