Hüttschenthal - building of the former Kurhaus - today residential building
|
The single settlement Hüttschenthal is located on the L515 between the Upper Harz mountain towns of Lautenthal and Wildemann . It belongs to Lautenthal, a district of the town of Langelsheim in the Lower Saxony district of Goslar .
history
The settlement consists of a former industrial plant. This includes various halls and shed structures, a former office building and an apartment building to accommodate employees. A chimney made of brick is striking. At the end of the 19th century a health resort was operated here. In the middle of the 20th century the area was used as a sawmill; In the 1960s, the Henniges & Holzheuer fireplace factory was located on the site. The buildings have not been used commercially since the 1980s, only the residential buildings are still in use.
In the 1990s, the Hüttschenthal with its hall and the outdoor area was the scene of numerous dance events of the then still young Goa scene . For many people in the Harz it was an important meeting place for electronic music and was known far beyond the region.
