Palandsmühle is located on the innermost south-east of the Ostlutter mountain range. The local situation consists of about a dozen houses and the former mill area.

history

Originally, the Palandsmühle was a wood grinder that was powered by water. For this purpose, a mill ditch was created as a branch. After the mill was shut down, the site was used as a bottling plant for beverages in the 1950s. A bread factory followed in later years and a plastics producer in the 1980s. Today there is a warehouse for frozen goods in the building.

Several ponds north of the Palandsmühle are used by the fishing club.
