The HC Most is a Czech ice hockey club from Most , which was founded in 1946 and since 2017 in the third Czech league, the second česká hokejová league plays. The club plays its home games in the Zimní Stadium Most , which has a capacity of 2,646 and was opened in 1998.
history
From 1952 the game association UHLOMOST took part in the game operations of the fourth-class regional league (today krajský přebor ). In 1977, the club, renamed Baník Most , made it to the third-class 2nd division of the ČSSR, in which the club held over two seasons. Until 1991 they continued to play at the regional level, before being promoted to the second division.
At the end of the 2003/04 season, the SK Baník Most achieved winning the championship of the 2nd division, but could not prevail in the relegation for the 1st division. Three years later, the first team of the club repeated winning the championship and rose without relegation to the first division, as this was increased by two teams. In the course of the rise, the club was renamed HC Most.
In 2017, HC Most rose back to the third division after unsuccessfully participating in the relegation.
Well-known former players
In addition, HC Most is known for its good referee training. Well-known referees from Most are Miroslav Charvát and Tomáš Turčan , who has also directed matches at international tournaments.
