Tomáš Divíšek (born July 19, 1979 in Most , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech ice hockey player who has been under contract with LHK Jestřábi Prostějov from the 1st division since June 2017 .

Career

Tomáš Divíšek began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of HC Slavia Prague , for whose professional team he was active in the extra league from 1996 to 1999 . During this period he was selected in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft in the seventh round as a total of 195th player by the Philadelphia Flyers . For their farm team , the Philadelphia Phantoms , the winger played from 1999 to 2002 in the American Hockey League . In the same period he came to five missions for the Flyers in the National Hockey League and was never able to prevail in their NHL squad. Therefore he returned to the Czech Republic and played from 2002 to 2005 for HC Pardubice in the extra league . With his new team he became Czech champion in the 2004/05 season .

In the summer of 2005 Divíšek signed a contract with his ex-club HC Slavia Prague, for which he was on the ice for a little more than a year before moving to their league rivals HC Plzeň at the beginning of the 2006/07 season. In Plzeň he was then under contract for two years and was team captain in the second year of his contract . However, he ended his first season with the Czechs at EHC Basel from the Swiss National League A , with which he achieved relegation in the playouts. He contributed to this success with four goals and six assists in 13 games. In summer 2008, the former Czech international was signed by his former club HC Pardubice. After a year and a half, he left this again during the 2009/10 season . While HC Pardubice won the championship at the end of the season, the five-time NHL player had to go to the playouts with HC Kometa Brno , in which he and his team were relegated.

In the 2010/11 season Divíšek played for BK Mladá Boleslav in the extra league . In September 2011 he received a trial contract with HC Davos from the Swiss National League A , which was not extended. The BK then loaned him to Kometa Brno until the end of the season. This loan agreement was extended in April 2012, but ended in January 2013. Then Divíšek played again on loan with the Piráti Chomutov , who signed him for the 2013/14 season. At the end of December 2013 he was released from this contract and moved to HC Sparta Prague in January 2014 .

In September 2014 Divíšek received a contract with HC Most from the second division and was loaned to HC Plzeň a month later, and then from November to relegation-threatened HC Slavia Prague. Ultimately he was relegated to the first division with Slavia Prague, but left the club and received a trial contract with HC Pardubice. However, he was unable to prevail there and returned to HC Most in October 2015. In January 2016 he was signed by 1. EV Weiden from the German league and scored 22 scorer points in 19 games for the Blue Devils . In July 2016 Divíšek returned to HC Most, a year later he was signed by LHK Jestřábi Prostějov .

International

For the Czech Republic Divíšek took part in the U20 World Junior Championship in 1999 . At this tournament he was the best assists with seven assists. In the senior sector he was in his country's squad for the Euro Hockey Tour in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 .
