Tonatiuh is a yellow giant 317 light years from Earth with a right ascension of 12h 05m 15s and a declination of + 76 ° 54 ′ 20 ″. It has an apparent magnitude of 5.8 mag. In 2003, Bunei Sato discovered an extrasolar planet orbiting this star. This is called Meztli .

Tonatiuh is named after the Aztec sun god Tonatiuh .
