HD 107148 is a yellow dwarf in the constellation Virgo, 167 light years from Earth . It has an apparent magnitude of 8.0 mag.
The star is orbited by an exoplanet that bears the systematic name HD 107148 b . The companion's orbital period is around 48 days and its mass is estimated to be at least about 0.2 Jupiter masses (approx. 70 Earth masses ). The major semi-axis of its orbit is approx. 0.27 astronomical units . The discovery of the object using the radial velocity method was made in 2006 by Butler et al. released.
